As vehicles have grown in complexity, so have the module communication network systems. In 2013, Ford and Lincoln began using a Smart Data Link Connector (aka "Gateway Module") to manage this increase in vehicle Modules and Communication Networks.

On vehicles equipped with a Gateway Module, only 2 of the 4+ Communication Networks are available for testing at the standard OBD II DLC. Nu-Di and Ford Engineers developed the Gateway Module Breakout Box which allows for easy access to all communication networks on a vehicle! This means uninterrupted testing of ALL networks using either a personal DVOM or a VCMM for enhanced readings.

This breakout box connects in series between the Gateway Module and the Gateway Module harness connector. Simply disconnect the Gateway Module connector. Attach each end to the appropriate connector on the breakout box. And you're ready to test ALL vehicle networks without interrupting normal vehicle operation!

Use in conjunction with a VCMM to test ALL network voltages at the same time!
