Consult 3 Plus Information:

The C-III plus is a critical diagnostic tool going forward. Later this year, the C-III plus software will be updated and have full capability to diagnose and reprogram 1996 and later model year vehicles. CONSULT III Plus supports blank ECM and TCM programming. September 2013 Nissan and Infiniti began the phase-in of "blank" service part ECMs and TCMs. Depending on the model and model year, replacement moduls come WITHOUT software. When the replacement module is installed in an applicable vehicle for an reason, it will need to be programmed

C-III plus is required for diagnosis of:

Nissan 2011 LEAF, Quest, Murano Cross Cabriolet
2012 GT-R and NV
2012 Infiniti M and M Hybrid
All new model releases will require the use of C-III plus. None of these models or future models will be added to CONSULT-III.
